SURSUM CORDA:
“Lift Up Your Hearts!”

♡ Sursum Corda Classical provides a classical, Biblical education to children. By using the classical approach within the framework of a confessional Lutheran character, we enable students to “lift up their hearts.”

♡ Through the nurturing of grammar, logic, and rhetoric, students will rise above simply learning a set of skills, to rather be free to discover what is true, good, and beautiful.

♡ By engaging with the greatest of literature and wisdom from the past to the present, students will be freed to think above the issues of the modern world.

♡ With a schedule that includes parents in the education of their children, families will be freed for service in their highest and most important vocations.

♡ Finally, with the Gospel of Christ and the forgiveness of sins forming the foundation of the school, students’ hearts will be truly lifted up – free from sin.

Mr. Chen gave the scholars a Thanksgiving buffet today in Math Class, culminating with a Pumpkin Pie [Chart]! We are thankful for our creative teachers!
Our 2nd annual Thanksgiving in the Woods! This event is such an awesome thing. We go for a hike in the woods, have a potluck outside, and then the kids get to do a little "show-and-thanks"! Thanks to everyone who came out and made this possible!
Here's pastor Hendrix leading the scholars in singing happy birthday for Martin Luther!
Today we had a party with Marty! Today was Martin Luther's 542nd. birthday. The scholars learned about the quinque solae of the Reformation. Sola Scripture, Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, Soli Deo Gloria.
For today's workshop the scholars got to try their hands at some knitting, and they made some beautiful Christmas ornaments!
We're handing out candy this morning at Oregon's downtown trick or treating! Come visit!
