SURSUM CORDA:
“Lift Up Your Hearts!”

♡ Sursum Corda Classical provides a classical, Biblical education to children. By using the classical approach within the framework of a confessional Lutheran character, we enable students to “lift up their hearts.”

♡ Through the nurturing of grammar, logic, and rhetoric, students will rise above simply learning a set of skills, to rather be free to discover what is true, good, and beautiful.

♡ By engaging with the greatest of literature and wisdom from the past to the present, students will be freed to think above the issues of the modern world.

♡ With a schedule that includes parents in the education of their children, families will be freed for service in their highest and most important vocations.

♡ Finally, with the Gospel of Christ and the forgiveness of sins forming the foundation of the school, students’ hearts will be truly lifted up – free from sin.

We began our first day of classes the same way we begin every day of classes – together as families around the Word of God at Morning Matins. We had a great showing yesterday of both moms and dads! Such a wonderful example these Christian parents set by being with their children to hear God's Word, sing, and pray! This is one of things we want to enable and encourage parents to do, to teach the Word of God to their children at home.
Year Two of Sursum Corda Classical School has begun. We have grown by threefold since last year's opening! Thanks be to God. May God bless Sursum Corda and her students.
The construction on our second classroom is complete! Just a few finishing touches left before school.
So awesome to see everyone again, along with some new friends! Our Orientation for 2025 was yesterday afternoon.
Today we @sursumcordaclassical spent the day at Devil's Lake State Park, an awesome way to spend one of the last summer Fridays before school!
Follow the progress on our second classroom as we prepare to welcome a room full of students in just a few weeks!
